Pine Resin (OPR)

Pine resin is a natural product that has followed the evolution of humanity since its beginnings, considered one of the first glues used by mankind, from traces found in rudimentary tools from the stone age. There are also records mentioning its use in the waterproofing of caravels at the time of the great navigations and even mentions in the Bible.

Extracted from the pine tree trunk by means of “striations” made in the bark of the tree, the pine resin has become a raw material for a wide variety of industries and is present in several items of our daily lives such as tires, paints, gum, capsules of medicine, etc.
