Fields of Activities

Turpentine is a chemical compound (hydrocarbon composed mainly of alpha and beta pinene) originating from the distillation of pine resin, commonly used in the production of solvents, flavorings, perfume fixatives, fragrances, cleaning products, pharmaceuticals, etc.

Because it has aromatic cycles in its composition, it is widely used in the fragrance and perfumery industry. The “pine” disinfectant, for example, has pine oil in its formulation, derived from turpentine.

In the fine chemical industry, turpentine is used for vitamins, natural insecticidal components, resins for special glues, among others.
